  • @ Eaglemex: The issue in the 80s/90s was actually with Saving and Loans, not with Credit Unions. May people incorrectly consider them the same.

  • I wouldn't have an issue with a $4 a month fee for each debit card if the big banks were struggling. But the fact is that they are making record profits and the executives are making million of dollars in pay and bonuses.

  • I did not cheat on any of my three degrees, nor while I was in the Navy. This is an outrage and needs to be corrected. To say that everyone cheats is the lazy man's excuse. Only those who are to lazy to work for what they earn use this type reasoning.

  • Just checked the Navytimes article and got better information. The second aircraft was able to give approximate location. After several years in a F-18 squadron I know how badly damaged these aircraft can fly. I'm thinking it sounds like catastrophic electrical failure.

  • NavyTimes is reporting the crew was pulled from the water, but the jet has yet to be recovered. I'm guessing they will have a P-3 in the air soon to locate the jet. That close to shore it should be in shallow enough water to recover. Sounds like they had a catastrophic electrical failure.

  • Just a whole lot of "what the F..." in this story. Being a Marine F-18 it was most likely a two seat model.

  • It is my understanding from a good friend who is a commercial pilot, that the Airbus computer system is know to fight pilots in non-normal situations. It is very hard to override the commands the system is sending to the aircraft.

  • And education in a downward spiral. Texas will soon pass Mississippi as the worst state for education. Wonderful governor they have down there. Leave the wealthy oil companies with their tax breaks and cut education to balance their budget. Thus you get people like Bill.........
